In our 33 years of ministry, we have never owned a new vehicle. We have been in desperate need of replacing our aging fleet with new, more dependable vans. So how do we overcome this challenge? Prayer. That is the recipe or success. We'll tell you more about that in a minute.
In Sneedville, Diane and Roger Johnson used their own vehicle and trailer to make food runs 250 miles away in Nashville, TN.
In Rogersville, we travel across the region picking up food at various locations. The food is transported to our Rogersville, Church Hill, and Sneedville food pantries. So, we put a lot of miles on vehicles.
OK, now back to the importance of prayer! We have been in a season of prayer for the past 5 years. And my how God has blessed us. Amid all the hardship and loss that so many of us experienced in 2020, God opened the doors of opportunity for us to purchase our first brand spankin' new food delivery truck and not one but two like new vans. These vehicles will be used to provide those in need with much needed food.
