Yes, I said it. Christmas is just around the corner.
At Of One Accord Ministry we are in the business of making children's Christmas wishes come true! And we know you feel the same.
Every year, through the generous support of our local community, we are able to give Christmas gifts to needy children in Hawkins and Hancock County, TN. But the Christmas for the Children program provides more than just gifts. Children and their family are invited to a Christmas party where they can jingle their socks off.
The children are also outfitted with a new pair of shoes, an outfit, warm winter jacket and a backpack filled with school supplies. The families leave with a food box so they can enjoy a nice Christmas meal.
As you might expect, Christmas for the Children is one of our most beloved community programs. Community volunteers shop for Christmas gifts and goodies. Wrap presents. Host parties. And spread Christmas joy all over the two-county region. When we first started the program, we provided 45 children with Christmas gifts. The program has continued to grow through the years and now we help make Christmas wishes come true for more than 1,200 children annually.
The Christmas for the Children Toy Bike Run & Car Cruise-In is the only fundraiser that we host to support this program. Make plans to join us Sept 19th for this event!
